Bruce Porter is the Executive Director of the Social Rights Advocacy Centre and co-director of a SSHRC Community University Alliance research project on social rights in Canada. He has written extensively on social rights, spearheaded strategic litigation on issues of poverty and homelessness in Canada and internationally and played a leading role in promoting access to justice for social rights claimants both at the United Nations and in other countries. He is also currently acting as the senior advisor to the UN Special Rapporteur on Adequate Housing.
