Marcel Lauzière

Marcel Lauzière has led several national organizations: the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Canadian Council on Social Development, and Imagine Canada. He has been a senior public servant in Canada and New Zealand. He was also CEO of the Lawson Foundation.

Marcel has served on various boards, including the International Council on Social Welfare, the Accounting Standards Oversight Council, and the Public Policy Forum. He is a past chair at YMCA Canada and currently serves on the Definity Foundation board.

Marcel received the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Medal (2012), the Governor General’s Meritorious Service Cross (2016), and the King Charles III Coronation Medal (2025) for his contribution to the charitable sector. He has an MA in Canadian history from the University of Ottawa.
