Raine Liliefeldt
Raine Liliefeldt is an artist, activist, and unapologetic badass auntie from South Africa who has made Canada her home. With a career rooted in the non-profit sector, Raine has become known for her dynamic blend of creativity, strategy, and heart. She is a seasoned communications professional, educator, and project manager with deep experience in governance, resource development, and high-impact stakeholder engagement. She also brings her soft wit to the stage as an aspiring stand-up comedian.
As the director of membership engagement at YWCA Canada, Raine has led national strategies and initiatives that strengthen the YWCA movement, foster collaboration, and deepen connections across a diverse network of leaders, partners, and advocates. Her consulting work includes transformative projects such as Truth & Transformation: Advancing Gender Equity for Black Women, Girls, and Gender-Diverse and Trans People. Raine is also a dedicated supporter of the arts, social justice movements, and youth empowerment.
Raine currently serves on the boards of the Kensington Market Jazz Festival and the Agora Foundation. Energized by work that reshapes workplaces and strengthens communities, she strives every day to be a good ancestor.
In recognition of her exceptional service and contributions to community, Raine was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal – an honour that reflects her long-standing commitment to justice, equity, and meaningful social change.
