Musu Taylor-Lewis

Musu Taylor-Lewis is president and CEO of Food for the Hungry Canada (FH Canada). She joined FH Canada after more than 20 years in the public and non-profit sectors, working at the local, national, and international levels. Her experience includes program operations, social research, communications, international cooperation, public relations, fundraising, and organizational development. By her early 20s, she had lived in seven cities on three continents, and this early exposure to global inequality formed the basis of her interest in and passion for international development. She pursued that passion through studies in economics, community economic development, and theology. She seeks to live out her conviction that a more equitable world is possible through work in community development and motivating Canadians to be involved in making lasting change. During this moment of opportunity and transition, Taylor-Lewis believes that the sector must change the way it engages with vulnerable people and overcome a history of reinforcing negative stereotypes; she thinks The Philanthropist Journal can serve as a respected resource, for those in the sector and beyond.
